The Southern African Development Community (SADC) has reaffirmed its commitment to regional infrastructure development. The PPDF aims to create a favorable investment climate by funding the preparation of cross-border infrastructure projects that drive regional integration.

The Advisory and Oversight Committee (AOC), comprising representatives from SADC member states, the SADC Secretariat, and development partners, provides strategic guidance and ensures alignment with regional development plans. It provides strategic guidance and oversight on the programme execution.

Meeting bi-annually, the committee convened in Midrand at the Development Bank of Southern Africa and discussed the progress of the PPDF pipeline financed by the German Government through Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). - Furthermore, the discussions also focused on the revision of the PPDF operational documents which guide the long-term operation, funding, and accountability of the PPDF within the SADC region.  The meeting was chaired by Mr Bernard Mupuriri from Zimbabwe.
